Summary
Hound stood a few feet away and looked non-threatening, at least as non-threatening as an ANBU could. If it was anyone else, Iruka might have even called it casual. An ANBU searching for you was never a good thing, but one who wasn’t attacking you was a hell of a lot better than one who was.
“Hound-san. I’m sure Hatake-san told you he came by the other day.” Iruka said, trying to sound respectful.
Hound ignored his implied question. “Umino Iruka, the Hokage would like to speak with you.” His voice was even, but Iruka swore he could detect traces of amusement. “You have ten minutes to meet me here.”
All Iruka wants to do is go home and sleep, but when the Hokage calls, you answer.

Summary
Iruka palmed a kunai and stepped forward more carefully. He knew should listen to Higeki-sensei now at least. Even though it was too late.
There was a louder sob and, as Iruka peered around the boxes, he saw the back of a small, emaciated body curled up next to them. Their blonde hair was soaked through and their thin, ratty shirt was plastered to their body. For a moment, forgetting about the sobs, he almost thought they were dead.
Then, as Iruka got closer still, he realized they were shaking.
All Iruka wants to do is go home and forget what happened on the mission, but things have a habit of not working out. (Iruka should know)

The night was crisp when Iruka finally made it outside. Kakashi was sitting on the steps, his face softly lit by the porch lights. A light breeze ruffled Kakashi’s hair and Iruka shivered, pulling the blanket tighter around his shoulders. Sometimes, when the night was particularly bad, Kakashi would sit by the pond in Sakumo’s yukata and feed the koi to hide the sound of his tears falling into the water.
Sometimes, all one needs is to be listened to.

Summary
It's 1996. Over the last ten years Corroded Coffin have made it big in the metal scene. Their upcoming album Heirs & Heretics will release this spring along with the first proper tell all interview Eddie has ever done. The problem is the album is a love letter for Steve, who hasn't seen Eddie for ten years. Antics and chaos ensue.
Ps. Only the first chapter is written in first person pov - because it's an article.

Eddie is a burnt-out-overworked-crash-and-burn-rockstar with a crippling twitter addiction. Steve is a chronically-offline-homegrown-indiana-boy-flowershop-owner with a green thumb and a penchant for taking in strays.
So naturally when Eddie first sees him, he's head over heels. And Steve has no clue what his day job is.
