"I'm not pregnant!" Mydei shrieked, his voice oddly high-pitched. Around the clinic, other patients turned to look at him.
Mydei took a long, deep breath. Then, stiffly, he repeated himself. "I am not pregnant."
Or, approximately four months after Amphoreus welcomes the new dawn, Mydei wakes up with an odd golden mark burned directly into his abdomen, identical to the symbol of Worldbearing.
Naturally, he does not, in fact, ask Phainon about this phenomenon. Instead, he discusses with the Trailblazer, obtains terrible advice, and goes on the worst railroad trip of his life.

Ok, so some people were brought back from different time frames, and are a little behind modern times. That's ok, everything is ok, they are all back and everything can be worked through.
Audata is just glad her son is alive, sure she is grappling with the fact that he was just thirteen the last time she saw him. That's ok. What is not ok is the letter she received from her son mentioning he was bringing a guest to visit. This would be something she would be ok with, too. Except for Cyrene dropping the Dark Tide bomb of her son being married, something he conveniently forgot to mention in his letter. Oh and that his husband happens to be the Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos. That is also something she would have liked to know too.

Waking up from what should have been his final death was the last thing Mydei had ever been expecting. Yet, the world isn’t what he remembered it to be. Having found himself in an off-putting version of Era Nova, a horrific reality has emerged. The world is overrun with Black Tide Abominations, the Trailblazers are missing in action, and Amphoreus has been completely subjected under the absolute rule of Irontomb.

Please,” Mydei murmured, desperate at this point. He found himself smiling into the kiss. “Come on, what are you waiting for?”
… only to find the comfort of his soft bed stripped away from him in an instant, replaced with the feeling of burning alive.
The two paused in their preparations. Mydei blinked up at Phainon’s sudden changed appearance, taking in the bright gold eyes and divine power bursting underneath his skin. That was fairly normal at this point, however …
“Phainon,” Mydei said slowly, turning to stare up at the blood red sky, and feeling the sensation of cosmic smoke curdling in his lungs. “What are we doing in hell?”
Or, in a post Era Nova world, Mydei and Phainon attempt to do the deed as they settle into their happily ever after. Multiple times, in fact. If only Phainon could stop departing them to his pocket dimension of a realm whenever they tried.

“Mm, nope!” Phainon said again. “All I remember is you, Mydei.”
“That’s probably not good,” Mydei said. Then, “I’ll put out some calls and talk to the authorities to see if anyone’s missing you, but with how small Aedes Elysiae is, I wouldn’t hold my breath.”
A smile brightened up Phainon’s face at the words, as if that was what he’d been waiting for. The way it seemed stretched unnaturally against his face made Mydei’s hackles rise, almost instinctively.
“Where else would I go?” He asked curiously, his eyes falling shut. “I’m already home”
Or, Mydei is almost certain the amnesiac man he found in his cafe is also the monstrous eldritch horror living in the forest behind his house. He just can’t prove it.

“I deeply apologize for the inconvenience, Mydeimos.” Khaslana said, placing a hand on his scarred and bloody chest. If the Flame Reaver had the energy to talk, Mydei thought he might have apologized as well. Instead, he merely breathed heavily in his general direction.
“And you!” Mydei whirled around. “You’re supposed to be dead! We got rid of you!”
“You cannot kill me in any way that matters.” Irontomb smiled meanly.
Beside him, Mydei watched Phainon bury his head into his hands.
Or, after a mishap with crystallized memoria, Mydei is asked and/or forced to watch over 4 different versions of Phainon until a solution can be found.

“Blessed by the Titans … Phainon is taking these things down like an absolute champ,” Mydei said, shaking his head slightly in disbelief. “What incredible strength.”
He ignored the faint feeling of dread that had begun to bury itself in the back of his throat, practically shaking him. He felt like he was missing something. Something important.
Or, Mydei naturally assumes he’s going to top during his and Phainon’s first time. Afterall, he’s the alpha and Phainon’s the beta. He’s just … slightly intimidated by the size Phainon is apparently used to taking. He doesn’t want to disappoint, that’s all.
