Erestor opened the door to the library of Imladris, his mind already going over the basic outline of the report he’d have to write up for Elrond, when he pauses.
In front of him is a sight he certainly hadn’t been expecting, even with knowledge of dwarves in the valley. A dwarf, a young one if he had to guess, with a small but growing beard, several braids running through both it and their hair.
But as Erestor got over his shock and took another step into the library, letting the door fall shut behind him, the dwarf froze in shock, pulling his hand away quickly as he turned to face Erestor.
“I- I am so sorry Master Elf I did not mean to impose I can leave right now I-” The dwarf very quickly blurts out, face flushing as their eyes dart around nervously.
“Do not worry,” Erestor interrupts, “The library of Imladris is open to all residents and guests of the valley, you are free to stay.”

He’d had so much fun at Biggs’ house but the second he’d neared his own home and heard the raised voices, he couldn’t bring himself to enter, settling on the stairs that led into the house instead.
