Summary
Leo’s plan works. He stops the Krang. He saves the world. He saves his family. And when he bursts through the light of the portal, he thinks he’s saved. One issue, though: he kinda forgot his corpse.

Alternate ending to the movie in which Leo doesn’t survive the Prison Dimension, but the ghost of him manages to make it out of the portal just in time. He gets a front row view of his family’s grief and they all must work to figure out how Leo can finally move on and find the light.

“Alright. Now or never.” Raph says grimly, and they let go of each other’s hands and open their eyes. They don't look at Leo. Rude.
“If there are any spirits here tonight, we are searching for our brother, Hamato Leonardo.” Mikey says, reaching out to cup his candle’s flame. It smells like the ocean, and Leo can appreciate the use of blue candles if the seance is for-

It's hard to make peace with your death, but Leo did it anyway. To protect his family, to protect the world.
He finds it quite a bit harder to make peace with what comes after death.
