Summary
Mike Wheeler hides behind a facade to conceal the pain in his heart. He turns to bad habits, secrets, and stays cloaked in the shadows. That is until an all too familiar foe reemerges in Hawkins and preys on those just like him. Those hiding behind masks, plagued by their pain.
Nobody suspected Vecna would go after Michael Wheeler. Maxine Mayfield, sure. Will Byers? Oh definitely. They’re caught by surprise when Mike Wheeler is targeted and Vecna chases after him like a hunting dog. After all, why give up such easy prey?

Summary
A year has passed since Mike awoke from his coma. His wounds have long since healed, but the pain still lingers. Some days his painkillers just don't cut it, and those are his bad days; when his wheelchair isn't an option and standing makes his legs wobble.
On those days, Mike prefers to crawl into his bed and wither away. He's lucky he has a boyfriend who loves to take care of him.
