The things that happen in flashes of moments, leading to roads unthought of, is how people can end up in the most unexpected of places — for Phainon turns on his heel abruptly, failing to catch himself in time as he trips over his own boot. Time slows for him as he waits, waits, and waits for his back to hit the ice. There is a poet, whose work he read in the tucked-away corner of the library where cosy chairs and warm mugs of tea steamed between him and his classmates, who once wrote; “the world will end not with a bang, but with a whimper” — and perhaps, this is how Phainon’s world ends.
A young man from Aedes Elysiae. A man who grew wings to touch greatness only to fall back down again. An angel found in the cold, lifeless fluorescence of a skating rink. Phainon; he almost had it all.

Summary
Phainon sires a child, gains a new crush and has a grand epiphany about his own gender in perhaps the worst conceivable way possible. Mydeimos finally finds a person he can open up to, but he fears his new more-than-friend may have a possible substance abuse problem.
Anaxa would like to add to the record that they weren't responsible for anything, least of all any instances of medical misconduct, and Aglaea tries to work through feelings, new and old to finally lay her heart to rest.
None of them are having a good time. All of them come out of this experience for the better. Especially Cifera.

Summary
It was done. Amphoreus was free.
Yet instead of feeling delight, relief or happiness, Phainon... didn't know how to feel. After all of his emotions had burned along with him to ensure they had a chance at winning, there weren't many of them left to feel. But with the new Dawn, came fragile hope that perhaps things could get better.
And that's when the cracks appeared.
He should have known there was yet another price he had to pay, that his body could never withstand so many cycles. He thought that perhaps he would have more time to finally bask in the sunlight with others, but instead he has to learn to count his days as his mind falls into despair and his body breaks down.
Perhaps the only thing he can do before he runs out of time is... to say goodbye to everyone.
