James Potter gets funny when Regulus Black is around him.
They’ve been playing together for two years, ever since Sirius and his brother reunited, since they discovered that Regulus Black could play the keyboard, and the piano. Like, strikingly well. The Marauders are punk rock, but James and Remus have been writing slower songs so Regulus Black is perfect.
Two years is more than enough time for Regulus to blend into the band… and blur lines that were never clearly defined to begin with. James insists it’s nothing, even as his longtime girlfriend, Lily, starts to notice how close they are.
“We’re just friends, Lily,” James murmurs over the phone, “Just like everyone else.”
Lily scoffs, “We both know that Sirius doesn’t look at you like that.”
And she’s right. Whatever this is between James and Regulus, it’s becoming impossible to ignore, and impossible to keep.
So James just can't have Regulus around him anymore...

No sex or anything, completely innocent except for the usual jokes and references made by 11-17 year olds.
I got irritated because I'm constantly reading fics, and you can just tell when one is written by an American, SO this will be completely British (I'm gonna have to tie myself down from mentioning Blur (RIP James Potter you would've loved Blur)), I'm not too well informed on the 70's but it'll be pretty accurate hopefully, I'm at least self aware.
There's a really super cool girl band (The Valkyries, what else would they be called???), and it'll be all from a couple of people's perspectives.
I will not be writing about the war because it drags on doesn't it? So this is NOT canon compliant in the slightest, they all live happily ever after.
Read the tags, I will write about the slytherins because I love Barty too much, and Lily is a lesbian (mainly because I have FAT lesbian crush on her), but other than that we have the usual Wolfstar and all the other favs!!

Remus Lupin and Regulus Black show up at school at the start of Year 12 like they own the place (and technically, with all the money they stole from their parents, they kind of do). They're living together, best friends, maybe a little traumatised, and definitely in a band with a few other maniacs: Evan Rosier, Barty Crouch Jr., Pandora Rosier and Dorcas Meadowes. James Potter falls in love with Regulus as soon as he walks in the door, Sirius Black short-circuits the moment Remus opens his mouth, and suddenly everything is complicated. Songwriting is everyone’s therapy, and that’s great for the band ’cause everyone’s a pining mess. There’s parties, there’s pining, a healthy amount of emotional damage, and one very good indie rock band that will get their entire school screaming for them at a function.

He just needed to find the music room. Sounded easy enough. But that was exactly where the trouble began.
Of course, the universe had decided to have him walk into the wrong room initially. He noticed when he smelled the paint. When he saw the colorful canvases leaning against the walls all around the room. When he noticed the second-year student sitting on a table in the middle of the room, right ankle on his left knee, holding a canvas in one hand and a pencil that he was using to sketch something in the other.
Although he seemed to notice Jeongin walking in, he didn’t look up from what he was doing. He merely said,
