Summary
Gabriela Trevelyan's life is changed forever when after the events at the conclave, her role changes from an emotionally unstable young woman to the Herald of Andraste - the one who everyone believes was sent to save Thedas from destruction. It is not a role she is even remotely prepared for.
This story describes Gabriela's long and emotional battle against herself as well as Corypheus, the choices that she makes and the consequences of those choices, and also how the people around her respond to an Inquisitor that seems to be losing herself.

The statement silences the ring. Words echo against the walls and drift through the shocked silence. It’s rare for someone to speak so openly against the avatars. The demon leans closer.
“It’s pitiful.”
Mammon doesn’t stop himself this time. He aims for his bruised ribs. There is a loud crack before the demon falls again.
Mammon knows he’s too far gone. He’s broken the rules.
Yet...now, Mammon can’t find it in him to care. Didn’t Lucifer do the same? The first to fight for Lilith, the first against Father’s orders. That day in heaven when he held Mammon close to him before the battle had truly begun. Wings wrapped around him, tears streaking down his face. Back then he told Mammon that he loved him, that he loved all of them. That if Lilith fell then so would he, bloodied and beaten if he had to (there was no winning, they both knew it back then). But that he’d protect them the best he could nonetheless.
But Mammon’s bruises weren’t protection.
And being called scum wasn’t love.

Higgs had a problem by the name of Sam Porter Bridges. Not only is Sam pulling Amelie away from making real the future he envisioned, the man who delivers was starting to occupy a worrying amount of Higgs' thoughts. After minimal amounts of resisting, Higgs gave in and welcomed his new obsession, deciding to trail his nemesis in earnest. What he had originally justified as a way of preventing Sam from meddling in his and Amelie's plans, quickly turned into a new connection Higgs had been struggling against since the day Central Knot City was no more.
In summary, Higgs hyperfixates on Sam and takes a thousand pictures of him as a result, while simultaneously fighting the demons (interpersonal intimacy and also bisexuality).
