No matter what the ninja told him at the Tournament of the Sources, he didn’t believe their manipulation tactics. He was not a ninja; he never was and will never join their team. But suddenly, during the battle with Thunderfang, he is sent into a coma and wakes up unaware of everything that happened after the Merge, and somehow all his memories from before flood back. Now, he is unaware that his goodness is shattered, unaware of every horrible thing he did. The ninja have to decide what to do when it is unclear whether Jay is back to normal, or still this "Rogue" they've known. Can they outrun what Jay became? Will the ninja tell him the truth, or pretend that everything is normal? And if the truth slips out, will it drive them apart?
Or maybe, the ninja just have to learn to accept him for who he is.

“I did say that doctor was full of shit,” Morro reminded them.
“History is art,” Zane said. “Not science. Even an expert such as Dr. Saunders can be mistaken from time to time.”
Morro gave him a disbelieving look. “It was only forty years ago, Zane. People are still alive from then. It is not hard to ask a simple question of those that were there.”
“That guy rubs my skin the wrong way,” Kai told them. The man had made him uncomfortable since they met.
“Same,” Morro agreed.
“He’s just a historian,” Zane pointed out. “What could he have done to spark distrust?”
Kai rubbed the head of the snake. “Just a feeling, Zane.”
“Hmm. Might serve to investigate that.”

Jay and Kai were probably inseparable, always doing things together, if one was somewhere the other was soon to appear, everyone knew not to try and make a trio out of them.

He’s determined to not give up on her - he made a promise after all.
Agent Nya Smith has always known something isn’t right, but with no memory of who she truly is, she has no idea who to trust and where to go. All she knows is she needs to protect herself from those who try to deceive her, whatever it takes.
With the world falling apart and destiny determined to keep them seperated, can the former yin and yang find each other and fix their broken relationship?? Or will the string of fate holding them together finally snap??
AKA: Swap AU where Nya and Jay end up in each other's places after the Merge - Jay is stuck in the Realm of Madness, and Nya ends up in the Administration without her memories. Mostly accurate to canon, but I make some changes and put Jay and Nya through as much as possible >:)

Nya and Lloyd start training to save his soul while Cole takes over his crush's body as a ghost in order to keep him alive. He is as you can imagine, taking this very well. While the siblings try to reunite, Cole and the rest of the team discover things about Kai they wouldn't be able to any other way.
Will they be able to rescue their fire master and if they do, will he come back unscathed?
And just what will happen when he finds out that Cole had possessed him?
