When Zuko captures Katara during the chaos following Bato of the Water Tribe, the deal is simple: the Avatar follows his ship back to the Fire Nation—or Katara pays the price.
Confined aboard a Fire Nation warship, Katara refuses to break. She plans, resists, and runs—until one mistake nearly costs lives and forces her to see Zuko not as a monster, but as a boy balancing rage, honor, and restraint on a knife's edge. Every breath must be shared. Zuko risks everything—rank, nation, father—to keep her safe, even as desire sharpens and restraint begins to hurt more than fire.
By the time Zuko is forced to choose between his honor and her freedom, both of them are irrevocably changed.

While still in the White Lotus compound Korra was forced to stop Unalaq's plan but her choice to leave the Spirit Portals opened send ripples throughout the world. Discontent at the current situation is causing more and more people to join the clandestine Equalist movement. With Korra deciding to stop hiding and come to Republic City, what welcome will await her?

Season 2 of Korra took place before Season 1, though it probably proceeded in a different way. Harmonic Convergence happened so new Airbenders, yey. Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.

170 years later is more or less a very simple premise that I'm sure I'm not the first to have thought of ("What if Aang in Korra times?"), but combining it with a scrapped Korra rework project and the charming new protagonist Ike, grandchild of Zuko and Katara, I am now diving headfirst into a new fanfiction project while I still haven't finished the other two I'm working on. Oh well.
Having decided to run away to Tienhaishi, this world's Republic City, Ike and Korra instead accidentally stumble upon the last airbender, a boy named Aang, whose return is plagued by guilt and grief, as this new trio tries to navigate the struggles of the big city, modern politics, pro-bending, and romance.
