Summary
April O'Neil never thought much about the younger girl in her Lit class: Elsa Queen was just another kid at school.
At least, she felt that way until she had to save Elsa from a tanuki yokai who ambushed her for seemingly no reason.
Left without a lot of choices, April takes her new friend to the lair and introduces her to the Turtles. While there's surprise and a little discomfort on both sides, Elsa Queen becomes a genuine member of the Hamato Clan: the little sister they never had.
Then one day, out of nowhere, Elsa shoots ice out of her hands.
That's when things get weird...

They expected a shady rogue inventor testing a new weapon, or something as mundane as an old neon sign finally giving out.
Batman had seen a lot, but even he didn't expect what they found in there.

One moment he was helping Leo test out his portals, the next he was in a decaying building in a city that was NOT New York.
He didn't know where he was, but there were two things he DID know: he needed to get home as fast as possible, and that he'd been kidnapped by a bunch of people in capes.
He especially hoped the guy in the black cape and cowl wasn't as dangerous as he looked...

April made a new friend
Her new friend was nice, charming, intelligent, fun, and all the characteristics you would want in a friend plus normal, which seemed to be difficult to find in April’s life. The two of them ended up talking in one of their shared classes and bonded incredibly, joking with the fact that both of them were named April, which ended up with them exchanging numbers at the end of the class.
But her brother.
Oh. Her. Brother.
Her asshole, sarcastic, mean brother that thought he was better than everybody else, talking with sophisticated words that made April mad just by hearing them. The same asshole brother that shared a lot of characteristics with her own purple turtle mutant friend and even matched in name, but was oh so different at the same time. In a bad way.
And that stupid guy plus all the goddamn problems she was currently facing were not making her life in any way easier
