Minjae was in trouble.
There had to be a mouse in his house. Every night, just as he was trying to sleep, that endless squeaking would start. And yet—shameful as it was—Minjae, who was supposed to be a spirit-born cat, had absolutely zero mouse-catching skills. In the end, all he could do was scatter rat poison around the corners of his home.
The problem was, the mouse didn’t die. Instead, Minjae was the one dying from lack of sleep. Every night the squeaks continued, and he even started wondering if this mouse was like him—a spirit who had taken human form.
That thought lasted until the night he found a strange man at his doorstep.
