DYSTOPIA — Based on that movie (I think it was a movie anyways). Sherlock is the son of bankers from one of the more well-off zones. He went to Zone 4 (an impoverished zone that John lived at) in order to solve his first case. He establishes a connection with John there, it’s brief. But they meet again after John decides to go full Robin Hood.
THOUGHTS — Lovely read! I was content by the first half of the fic (after Sherlock and John were reunited). The rest was kind of just fluff for me (although that may be because I’m sleepy and skimming was the only way to get through the other half jdkdkdkd). Anyway, yeah. It was interesting to see this Sherlock and John. Reminiscent of their canon counterparts, but driven by other things. More societal rebellion than crime fighting.
I especially like the deep dive into this universe’s Uhh idk how to describe it (sleep-deprived brain is not very helpful.) UHM let’s put it this way — I especially like the detail the author put into shaping this universe. I only vaguely recognize the inspiration for this fic, so I can’t be sure if all of the author’s fun little worldbuilding elements were original. But, either way, they suited the Sherlock theme very well.
The fic, as a whole, was very good. I would like read it again one day! Maybe when I’m less sleepy 😂 So that I can actually read the other half of the fic properly.
