Summary
After burning the bistro, Rody ran away to escape the police and boarded the first plane to the U.S., not knowing that Vincent was rescued and still alive. Rody had a violent breakdown in his new workplace after being forced to eat meat and was labeled as a danger to society. Thus, he was sentenced to a mental hospital.
Sadly, because he had no money and no U.S. citizenship, the court decided to deport him back to France. Desperate to not return to his past and horrors, Rody accepted the offer to become a patient in Mount Massive Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
It might be one of his greatest mistakes.

Squeak, a paranormal investigator, read rumors of an infamous Walrider making itself at home in Mount Massive Asylum. He grabbed their two friends, Monty and Shane, and took a trip to Lake County, Colorado, to investigate it. The trio encounters some colorful, not-so-friendly people during their investigation into the asylum, but one question lingers throughout the entire trip: Is this place haunted or not?
(Most of the story sticks to the canon events in Outlast 1, but some things are altered either to accommodate three main characters instead of one, to make it seem more interesting, or just because I can)
