Summary
Being around Mike constantly makes it harder for Will to get over his feelings, in an attempt to get over him Will starts dating the only other known gay guy at school. Mike gets really jealous and possessive and acts like a complete idiot, the two struggle to navigate the way things are going and Will starts having visions and headaches all the time that turn Mike's protector mode on. It's like the universe is constantly pushing them closer and closer and they can't avoid it.

He is essentially on house arrest, confined only to the Wheeler's house and occasionally El and Hopper's cabin. But, then, El is always training and Hopper with her and so those visits are becoming less and less exciting as time goes on.
Will has tried several times over the past few months to hang out with the party, but they are always busy too; Lucas is seemingly always at the hospital, Max in the hospital, and Dustin nowhere to be found. It really only leaves him with one other option when it comes to company, but Will can't find it in himself to be that desperate. Besides, Mike is always out, or rather, in but tucked away in his room, the door shut tight.or
Living with the Wheelers isn't exactly how Will would choose to spend his time, especially when he has to share the space with Mike who hasn't really talked to him since he moved in. With Hawkins in the midst of ultimate destruction, Will is stuck at the Wheelers for the foreseeable future. When Vecna suddenly makes his presence known again, and something strange starts to happen to Will, he is suddenly right back in on the action--and right back with Mike.

Mike rejoined Will on the couch as Dustin sat on the floor, grinning up at his lifelong friends. If he closed his eyes, they were all 12 again. He didn’t want to go through the apocalypse again, and he especially wouldn’t subject Will to another week in the upside down, but sometimes he wished they could redo it and grow up normal this time. Without nearly dying before 18.
Max and Lucas are leaving for California, Dustin is off to New York and Mike and Will are sticking together as always. It's the summer before college, and everything is changing. They might as well make the best of it.
