Summary
When asked in the past by curious sons of what happens when a person dies, Baelor Targaryen sat them down and patiently explained that the Faith of the Seven teaches them that the righteous are blessed in the Seven Heavens as long as they lead a virtuous life and repent for any sin committed. He had never questioned it himself.
Falling to a blow by his brother's mace while defending what was right, even against his own family, Baelor should have been feasting in the Father's golden hall and waiting until the moment he would be reunited with his family. That did not happen.
Instead, the former Prince of Dragonstone woke up far from home and everyone he knew, though the faces he found himself among were not unfamiliar to him. But what does it mean to find yourself in the pages of your family's own history books?

Lucerys Velaryon is the most sought-after maiden in the Seven Kingdoms. The fervor surrounding her courtship threatens the peace of the Red Keep. Amidst pressure from her father to make Lucerys marry, Rhaenyra makes the fateful decision to send her daughter on a betrothal tour, just as she had once embarked on.
Her darling daughter surely never cause such a headache as she caused her father. Lucerys would find a good match she loves and they would no longer have to face the endless love letters and litany of gifts. All would go smoothly because Rhaenyra was a better parent than her father, right?

The Black Pearl
Black pearls are special. They are incredibly rare gems, one of the rarest colors a pearl can be naturally formed into. So rare are these pearls that they were once only owned by royalty and nobility, earning the nickname "Pearl of Queens". As with anything valuable and hard to obtain, there are several myths surrounding these precious things of nature.
Lucerys Velaryon is valuable and hard to obtain. She is hard to trap. Hard to cage. Hard to define. A noblewoman in Westeros should not desire anything beyond the comfort a good match can provide, especially a princess of the blood, yet Lucerys rebukes such confines.
She isn't what her family and the realm wants her to be, no matter how firm their beliefs are that she is.
