Todd was humming, once again. The music must’ve changed while he was zoned out since the upbeat tune of Come On Eileen filled the room. Perhaps the humming wasn’t ideal for his studying, but Neil wouldn’t even dream of mentioning it to the blond, it would be like kicking a puppy. Todd seemed so comfortable, so at ease with his history book in his lap, quietly mumbling the lyrics that had never seemed so sweet.

Summary
Neil looks into his eyes, “I love you.” Todd freezes for a moment, not expecting such direct eye contact. He files the words away to recall later a bit shamefully, ignoring how warm they make him feel. However, despite the wonder and warmth, Todd sees what Neil means. The delivery wasn’t bad, it was great, even, yet it’s like something was missing. Todd tells him as much.
“I know! What do you think I should change?” Neil implores, pacing again, back and forth in front of his still sitting roommate. He reminds Todd of a caged animal. Todd thinks the sincerity in Neil's question is sweet, considering the little information Todd knows about acting and the world of theatre.
“Just- try it again,” Todd says placatingly. “I don’t think I understand, what are you trying to say?”
“I love you.”
“Again.” Neil begins to think there may have been harm in letting Todd help.

“Yes,” Kuei is smiling earnestly and openly, and Bosco perks up from where he’s basking in the corner, ears twitching at the sound of his name. “It’s for when he needs to look fancy.”
“That sounds reasonable,” he nods seriously, then, because imagining Bosco at some fancy-ass party is kind of terrifying and there’s a client booked in fifteen minutes, he adds wistfully, “I would die for a coffee right now.”
Kuei looks up from his phone. “Oh? There’s the Jasmine Dragon across the street if you don’t mind tea.”
“Isn’t that the flower shop?”
“Yeah,” he says like there’s nothing weird with that and then doesn’t elaborate on that.

I’ve seen people comparing Geralt and Jaskier’s relationship with Shrek and Donkey’s – which is hilarious, don’t get me wrong – but how about Jaskier as Princess Fiona?
The Witcher AU in which Geralt decides to take on what could possibly be the most well-paid job of his life. He expects it to be fairly easy, since it only involves rescuing a prince from a tower on account of this pompous noble named Lord Valdo Marx, who wants to marry the said prince. He doesn’t expect that his and Roach’s lives are about to change forever.
As you may have guessed, the title is from one of the main songs from the first movie of Shrek.
