The hall is hazy with cigarette and cigar smoke constantly permeating the air. It surrounds Buck in a cloudy halo, the warm lights reflecting off of his tawny blonde hair and making him glow gold. He looks content, just for a moment. Like everything that had happened thus far didn’t weigh on his shoulders, like it wasn’t eating away at the very innards of him as he glided across the floor with Meatball, who seemed happy as a clam tucked safely in his grip.
He looks like something out of one of John’s dreams. The kind of dreams that he kept secret, locked away in the furthest recesses of his mind in a place only he had access to. The kind of dream that made him want to stay sleeping—the kind that he couldn’t help but try to grasp onto when he began to feel those last dredges of sleep fade away.
He looks so goddamn beautiful that John can hardly stand it.

Summary
Demons were such pitifully weak creatures that it was laughable. Not many could defend themselves—not against their peers, and especially not when it came to the Exorists, who were specifically modeled to kill such lowly vermin with innate bloodlust and hatred that could rival the KKK and the Nazis in their prime days. It was almost sad to see his people so effortlessly slain, but also infatuating.
Their pitiful cries for help that’ll never come…
Their screams of horror…
Their chokes of final death…
Lucifer loved it.
Or,
Lucifer actually acts like the King of Hell and allows no disrespect, but with problems of his own, he’s blind to the plotting of his downfall occurring behind the scenes that involves a certain radio demon and angel…
And his daughter making a fool out of herself throughout the seven rings isn’t helping matters.
