“You should come watch!” Dustin told him, grabbing his arm again. He let go as soon as Steve gave him a pointed look, but the excited smile never faltered. “Eddie puts on a really good campaign. Even you would like listening to it.”
“Eleven listens sometimes, but we haven’t convinced her to play,” Mike commented from the backseat. Steve was suddenly very aware that he had four sets of eyes staring at him. Even Mike seemed excited.
“You might even want to join,” Will offered, smiling softly. It was an expression that Steve usually saw him giving to Jonathan, and it did make him consider going inside… for a few seconds.
“Nah, this is your thing, not mine,” he told them. “You guys go get your nerd on, and I’ll pick you up in three hours.”

Summary
Steve pulled into the driveway and honked his horn, then sat back to wait. It usually took the kid a few minutes to come out no matter how he let him know that he was ready.
He was not expecting Dustin to immediately come through the door and stop right at his window. Dustin wasn’t quite dressed- he looked like he still had pajama pants on, and he definitely wasn’t wearing any shoes. His hair was more wild than usual, too. Steve gave it a second, but Dustin just stood there and stared at him. With much trepidation, Steve rolled down his window.
“Mom wants you to come inside,” Dustin told him immediately.

“Hey, Harrington?” Robin called, smirking. Steve wanted to sigh, or maybe run away, but he straightened his back and gave her the flattest look he could manage. “Remember that favor you owe me?”
“I don’t owe you a favor,” he replied immediately, although he had a sinking feeling that he did. It sounded familiar.
“I recall you agreeing to the bet a while back that you didn’t think the kids considered you a part of their group,” she reminded him. The smirk hadn’t left her face. “And after the whole… moving in with the Byers thing, it’s definitely been proven that you’re a part of their group. I dare you to say that you’re not in front of them.”

Summary
It started with Dustin showing up at Scoops Ahoy! with a flushed face and an old walkie-talkie. Dustin thrusted the old walkie into Steve’s hands without a word, then turned on his heel and left as quickly as he’d come inside.
(AKA Five times Steve was there for the Party when they needed him, + one time the Party was there for Steve when he needed them.)
