They never asked, in the end.
What had happened that made the other woman slip away like she did.
But it never did feel completely right, after, despite everything. Because Rumi was there but she also wasn’t, because she laughed and joked with them but never quite fully, because she would lean into their touch sometimes and then shrink away from it the next moment. Because she had walls all around her, and rarely, if ever, took them down.

“What do you mean she’s gone?!” Mira says confusing as rage crept onto her face walking towards a frantic Jinu trying to compose his thoughts.
“Gwi-Ma— he manipulated her mind, like put her in a trance or something I just—” Jinu struggling to comprehend his speech while his heartbeat could physically make him explode.
“Wait– so you’re saying Gwi-Ma, was able to mentally reach Rumi and lure her back down to his Hell?” Zoey says as fear sprawled over her face trying not to panic and make the situation worse.
“Yes, but I don’t know why, or what his motive is, but she’s down there being tormented by him like the rest of us.” Jinu says finally gathering the words to state his matter.
“How do we get to her without being killed and getting back to safety.” Zoey says not questioning but demanding staring through Jinu. For the record Zoey wanted to keep the peace. But this is about their lover; Mira and Zoey wouldn't rest until Rumi is safe.
"I have an idea." Jinu says under his breathe in contemplation
Zoey and Mira both look at Jinu and give a nod.

Jinx has spent the last year since her attempted Council bombing failed committing petty acts of terrorism and vandalism. But with Silco gone there is no larger scheme, no bigger picture she's working towards. Instead it's the same cycle. Occasionally eat, and sleep. Then get Big Hat and her sister's attention, get chased all throughout Piltover, escape back to Zaun, and repeat the process another day. Her life is one big distraction, keeping the thoughts of dead friends and family along with the monsters out. But it isn't enough, not anymore. Mylo and the monsters have gotten more active. They have driven her into a maze of darkness and despair where they hunt her for sport. There is no way out and it feels like no one can understand her when she tries to tell them about the monsters. “I had to be stronger to survive. I had to be strong enough to do it on my own. You weren’t there and I... had to be better. Better for Silco. Good enough to help him. He was the only one there and he didn’t have anyone else. He needed me and I had to be good enough not to get in the way,” Jinx tries to scream, but her throat croaks out the words instead. Vi’s eyes soften.
“So let me be there for you now that he’s gone. Let me help you chase the monsters away just one more time,” Vi offers, holding her hand out. Jinx looks away. Chains are rattling around the room and she wants to scream at them to stop. She wants Vi to fight back.
She needs so badly for her to fight back.
