"You can always stay with me." Ben reassures him.
"I don't think your dad wants a guy like me around," Carlos laughed, pressing his head into Ben's shoulder. "Not when I'm the type of person he'd go after."
Ben looked hurt. "I wouldn't go after you," he said. "At least, not in a way that would hurt you."
Or, a long updated story of what I posted last time of our favorite boys becoming heroes and boyfriends after having to jump through hoops. I didn't like the first so here's the updated.

Mal, Jay, Evie, and Harry Hook. Nobody wants to but they also want to... until they find out it's to serve the king and queen and be bodyguards to the princes, Prince Ben and Prince Carlos.

“Bruno.” Wilfredo pulled him close. Desperately trying to reach the man through the shell he had formed around him.
“I just, I just wanted to pretend, just for a moment, that it was ok. That I could just be this. That it was ok to just be this.” Bruno confessed.
“Listen to me.” Wilfredo demanded. “I would never change a single thing about you. You are perfect as you are.”
Bruno stared at him dumbfounded but said nothing. Wilfredo let out a tired sigh. He loosened his grip and rested his forehead on Bruno’s. Trembling against the rage he struggled to contain. This burn, it hurt, but it kept him alive. He needed Bruno to feel it.
“I know it feels like the world has no place for you. Por favor, Te lo ruego, don’t ever give up looking for one. If you can’t find a place then make one, pero nunca te rindas.”
Wilfredo opened his eyes again to take in those shimmering emeralds. “This world was made for all of us. You have a right to be here. Never doubt that.”

The two of them make a plan that might just work out for everyone...at least in short-term.
(Polyboea, as a proxy for Artemis, hunts Zephyrus down like a deer for killing her brother. That's it, that's the fic.)
