Pomni hit the ground hard enough to knock the wind out of her. She gasped for air, coughing a few times, the cold of the ground helping to orient her. There were spots in her vision and she winced at the sharp throb in her skull.
Finally, her lungs filled with air and her eyes were able to open and she saw…what the hell was she looking at? Pomni was on the ground, on her back, and in front of her was some kind of…pod? Chamber? The front door had unlatched and was currently wide open, the clamps that had previously kept her secured in place open and empty, a headset melded to the headrest. A headset that was distinctly empty…because her head was attached to her body…on the ground— holy shit is she real?!

Summary
Christine had precisely zero interest in relationships. None whatsoever. However, she finds herself quickly needing a "long-term partner" to accompany her to a family wedding, and is forced to cash in her one free favor given to her by a stranger when she saved his ass on her walk home.
Her new "boyfriend" is a lot to handle, but she is nothing if not persistent and stubborn, and she would be caught dead before admitting she had been lying to her family for months.
So much for her peaceful, solitary life I guess.

The last thing, or person, Pomni expected to find outside her door was Jax looking for all that he was worth like a kicked puppy– or. Well. A bunny.
“So,” Jax dragged out, clasping his hands in front of him as he rocked on his feet. Paws. “Today, uh. Well. Caine's stupid adventure– well. Okay, it sucked. Obviously. When does it not, but uhm. My room, I can’t. Well…”
Pomni realized pretty quickly what this was about. Why Jax was outside her door.
Eventually, when Jax’s rambles came to a quieting halt as he realized he was making zero sense, and he began turning away with a muttered ‘forget about it,’ Pomni pursed her lips. She opened her door, wide and wider until she grabbed his hand and pulled him inside.
Or, Caine's adventure got a little out of hand and Jax can't sleep in his own room so he goes to Pomni's instead
Or, or, I just got into TADC fandom and this is me dipping my foot in and testing the waters of funnybunny :)

Summary
After waking up from the Circus, Pomni starts assimilating back into her old life, trying to fit into the parts of them she wanted to keep around and altering the part that didn't quite fit; all the while trying to find any traces of her friends from the Circus online.
She finds them in a dream, not the most practical way but certainly one that works.
OR; Pomni speaks to her friends in her dreams while they try to set up a time and place to meet. Maybe she likes Jax more than she admits, too.
