    Something is wrong with Soap. Perhaps not wrong exactly, but off. It hadn’t taken Ghost long to realize it but it became difficult to ignore after he saw the man pluck an acorn from the ground and crunch it between his molars without so much as a wince. Once he started realizing the things that were off about Johnny it became impossible to stop.
    It’s an odd thing, Soap thinks, wanting a human. He’s favored humans in the past, and he’s currently quite fond of his Captain and fellow Sergeant. But he hasn’t, till now, wanted any of them. Though his Ghost is certainly a special case.

    or Soap is a fae in disguise, Ghost is paranoid but correct.
