Summary
The barrage of memories overtook him more times than he could count. It was ecstasy and escape. Every smell, touch, and taste was vivid, tangible, perfect. They manifested with a lucidity that dissolved the separation between reality and dream. It would have been a gift, had he been able to control it.
He was left behind with the others, the ones lost in the snare of their minds. Their ramblings and murmurs seeped into his consciousness even as he called for his beloved; chasing a shadow, clutching stones he believed to be his angel, tucked safely in his arms.
He forced his mind to focus. Stay here. Just a bit longer. Hide. Then you can go back to him.
Some of the misshapen and ill-manifested corporations had been abandoned by their souls. He arranged bodies into a barricade and sheltered among them, surrounded by the carrion that had been his brethren. Embraced by their scorched wings, sloughed skin, and splintered bones, the next memory took him.

Aziraphale gaped in outrage as his weapon clattered to the deck. Golden eyes raked him from stem to stern. “I begin to think I have better uses for you than fishbait.” A hot hand ran down the side of Aziraphale’s face and then fisted in his coat. “Perhaps you would better serve me on your knees.”

Aziraphale lost almost everything in the bookshop fire. In the remains of his his life, he finds an old shoe box, and inside it the letters – and memories – he had buried for so long.
While putting his life together again with the support of his friends, he relives his days as Father Fell and all the hurt and joy of having had Father Crowley by his side.A human AU, where Aziraphale and Crowley were priests in the same church.
Excerpt:
All that was left from his life, everything he had been able to rebuild fitted in a handful of boxes and two suitcases.
He didn't even want to think about the books, or what was left of them.
But now he would have to. It was already time. He had to start all over.
Again. [...]
One last box. A shoe box he hadn't allowed himself to think about in so long. One he had buried under his bed and forgotten.
Why, of everything that could've survived, was this the one thing to be unscathed? In his efforts to hide his past even from himself, he had secured what he wanted to not exist from meeting its end.
The box of unsent letters was heavy in his hands. They weighted years, weighted all the guilt.

Summary
While pursuing a group of fae hunters they’ve been tracking for ages, baobhan sìth Crowley accidentally steps into an old fox trap concealed in the brush.
Badly injured, immediately weakened from the iron and soon soaked through due to a wicked thunderstorm, they seek shelter on the steps of a huge, castle-like manor. The door is opened by a kindly looking man with an angelic countenance, and he spares no time in welcoming the wounded fairy into his home, unaware of the fact that Crowley is so desperately in need of feeding they’re considering drastic measures.
They don’t know that they are just as unaware in the sense of having no idea whom just opened his door to them.
