Summary
The man- now unmistakably Eddie Munson- opened his mouth as if to say something, choosing to instead launch himself at Steve. There was a second where Steve thought he was being attacked, knocked off kilter, but then Eddie’s arms were around him, burying his face in Steve’s hair. Half-collapsing beneath the weight, Steve guided them both to the floor, pulling Eddie closer instinctively. He felt thinner than he used to, the skin of his back littered with scars.
“Eddie,” Steve murmured disbelievingly, holding him as he shook like a leaf in Steve’s arms. “You’re not dead.”
Eddie laughed, despite the trembling. He clutched onto Steve’s shirt like a lifeline.
“Yeah,” he managed, voice high and vulnerable. “Sorry to disappoint.”

God-fucking-damnit. Steve's so stupid. How did he not notice? Somehow, he found his little sister, just wandering around Hawkins.

Eddie murmured, “You make me crazy.”
Steve’s soft smile broke way to show pearly white teeth, pink lips and soft skin, “You’re not crazy. You just…worry too much.”
Steve’s hands found their way onto Eddie’s shoulders, and Eddie let himself be gently guided down onto his back. Steve moved on top of him, bracketing Eddie with two legs on either side of him. Eddie’s hands ran naturally to their spots on either of Steve’s thighs. He gave them a little squeeze, delighting in the feeling of warm skin. Steve always ran so hot.
Steve’s head dipped down close to Eddie’s face, a stray piece of hair falling into his eyeline. He whispered, “But, I can take care of that.”
