    Summary

Paris, 1880s. Christine Daaé came to the Conservatoire to study music, not to haunt it. But when her quiet songs in a riverside hotel draw the attention of an unseen patron, her life begins to blur between the living and the listening. Letters arrive without senders, melodies echo through the walls, and the city itself seems to lean closer to hear her sing.

But her patron’s past is not as silent as he believes, and the echoes that find her voice will carry farther than either of them intends.

A reimagining of The Phantom of the Opera set in its original era.

    Summary

Set before and during the 2004 movie. My origin story for 2004 movie-specific Erik, who never left the Opera House once rescued and hidden by Mme. Giry. This is my version of how he and Christine met and fell in love (NOT when she was a child) and tumbled headlong into the inevitable tragedy of Final Lair. This has no script/libretto (apart from maybe one or two absolutely necessary words). This explores the motivations and emotions BEHIND what happened. The scenes around what was on screen. There may be a few nods to Leroux and Kay, but my Erik is Gerik – 100%, blue eyes and all. But I couldn’t resist resurrecting Philippe, because he practically writes himself and never shuts up in my head (he’s also my Beta’s favourite character, which he would adore). Plus he makes Raoul seem like less of a dick. Sorry Patrick - love you, truly - but movie Raoul makes me want to beat his oblivious, arrogant, dismissive head against the nearest brick wall!

    Summary

Loosely based on the 1990 Arthur Kopit play/miniseries but darker/sexier - mixing in a bit of Leroux/Kay.

Begins when Christine sings at the bistro with the company. Takes a different turn. A whole lot of sexual tension, angst, lies, half truths... different takes on Philippe, Gerard and Raoul.

Got back into the Phandom recently and fell in love all over again. This is my first fic. I hope you like it and want me to continue.
