    Summary

When Steve Harrington began his gradual burning decent from Hawkins High royalty, Eddie thought he would relish the glow from afar. But as the King hurtles ever closer to his fiery demise, Eddie is granted five small windows into the strange world Steve has found himself in, and desperately tries to swallow the awful feeling of empathy clawing its way up his throat. Because Steve Harrington - as much as he loathes to admit it - is changing. For one, he's developed a strange interest in Dungeons and Dragons lore.

Five times Steve Harrington lets the Upside Down slip, and the one time Eddie Munson realises Steve knows nothing about D&D.

    Summary

Jake slightly furrows his brows in reaction to the loud slam of the door, but any and all noise of the building quickly becomes very difficult to focus on.

One, because the locked door of the single-occupancy bathroom muffles all sounds of background music, clinking glasses, and happy drinkers.

And two, because Rooster’s suddenly crowding into his space, and Jake finds it considerably harder to think coherently with Rooster’s hands pushing into his shoulders as his lips skim over his.

It could also be the alcohol, contributing to his growing loss of rationality. But Jake also kind of likes the way that Rooster tastes like beer.

So, whatever, it takes a suicide mission for them to act civil.

It takes three drinks for them to act like a lot more.

    Summary

    Eddie is worried about Buck.

Which isn’t, all things considered, that unusual, since Buck is very good at not telling anybody when he’s not doing well, and is also the most likely person to run into an unsafe situation headfirst of anybody Eddie has ever met, and he’s including himself in that.

This is a different kind of worried, though. Physically, he knows Buck is fine. Their last few shifts have been the word that Eddie isn’t allowed to say out loud, Buck’s leg hasn’t bothered him in months, everything should be fine.

Eddie is pretty sure, though, that something is going on, anyway. Buck’s been weird, and not in the endearing, kind of awkwardly charming way he always is. He’s been dodging plans, giving vague and sometimes unbelievable excuses. Showing up to planned breakfasts and lunches exhausted, even sometimes walking in late to a shift, which is just unlike Buck.

So Eddie is worried about him.

or, the one where Buck is an amateur drag queen, Eddie finds out, and isn't that interesting for Eddie Diaz?

    Summary

Cas swallows again, selfishly holding a bit tighter around the hunter as he mumbles, “I’m just worried about Jack,”.

Lie, Dean detects immediately. He can tell that it’s a lie. He just came in and found Cas crying with the page about himself—that Dean earnestly wrote—in the Bestiary open on the table; what the hell would Jack have to do with that?

Dean next speaks with a gentle suspicion in his voice, sounding not like he’s accusing the angel but instead like he’s opening the floor for him to tell the truth without judgment. “That’s all?” he says softly, voice comforting and familiar by Cas’s ear.

    “...Yeah,” Cas says, lying again.

(TLDR: Cas dealing with his secret of the Empty deal, until he can't anymore. Lots of angsty hurt/comfort, tears, feels, and softness.)
