Summary
It’s winter in Hawkins, and Mike and Will aren’t speaking anymore. Living in Mike’s house, Will tries to be invisible, spending most of his time in the basement.
Then the power goes out — and if there’s one thing he dreads more than facing Mike, it’s the cold.
or
Seven nights in which Mike and Will have to sleep in the same bed, even though they’re barely friends anymore.

Summary
Mike lets out a frustrated groan and knocks his head back against the seat—like Hopper’s the one being cryptic here.
Mike’s voice cracks slightly when he repeats, “He hurt Will.” More urgent this time. More desperate.
“Okay. I get that,” Hopper says slowly. “But it doesn’t explain why—”
Mike cuts him off, sharp. “If Will didn’t tell you, then I’m not telling you.”
-
When Hopper gets a call about that damn Wheeler kid, he's pissed. Until he realizes what exactly he's dealing with.

Summary
Will shivered and groaned, curling into the couch like it might magically preserve his body heat, before sheepishly asking, “Does anyone have an extra sweater? I forgot mine.”
“Yeah—Will, no worries—” Lucas started, reaching for his bag, about to pull out the extra hoodie he’d packed for tomorrow. But before he could even unzip the damn thing, Mike literally yanked his own hoodie off and tossed it at Will like it was nothing. Will let out a tiny “oomph” as it landed on him, clearly not expecting it.
“I got it, Lucas,” Mike said, smug as hell. Yeah, no shit, Michael. Lucas just stared. Seriously? If he’d asked Mike for a jacket, it would have involved like…seven passive-aggressive comments. Not whatever the hell this is.
-
Lucas knows something is going on between Mike and Will, they're not exactly subtle, and he's going to figure this out.

Summary
Mike’s expression softens. “No but—seriously, Will. He’d be stupid not to like you.”
He hopes the sincerity lands, because he means it. He just hates the thought of sharing Will with someone else. Hell, even Dustin and Lucas get on his nerves sometimes when they hog Will’s attention. Mike knows it’s a personal problem. He knows he should work on it. He just… hasn’t.
-
Mike and Will are best friends—like, best, best friends. And Mike cares about Will so much that he can’t help getting irrationally angry anytime Will pays attention to literally anyone who isn’t him- in a purely platonic way. Obviously.Bookmarked by Vfxtarn

Summary
Perceptive isn’t a word Jonathan Byers would use to describe himself. Watchful could work, but only to a certain degree. A careless, languid watchful. Too relaxed to be considered sharp, but he notices enough not to lose the title altogether.
Will and Mike, from Jonathan’s perspective.
