Summary

“Hey,” Jim calls, when Hargrove doesn’t react at all, knocking again, louder and longer, “time to get up, kid.”
Hargrove doesn’t so much as stir. On a whim, Jim tries the handle, a little taken aback to find the car unlocked. He pulls open the door, noting absently that the interior doesn’t smell of cheap beer and teenage hormones like he’d expected, and leans between the seats to shake Hargrove’s shoulder.
His skin is ice cold. A sense of unease falls over Jim, and only grows stronger when he manages to turn Hargrove from his side onto his back, exposing his front, without the kid reacting at all.
And then Jim gets a proper look at him. “Aw, shit.”
[All Jim wants is a hot shower and some damn sleep. Instead, he adopts another stray.]

Summary
In which Billy Hargrove has people on his side. What would have happened if a few people had decided to take a closer look at Billy and see that what he needed was a little help. With lots of found family and Neil bashing.
Also the Upside Down is conveniently forgotten and never really mentioned after the first chapter. I am well aware of the gaping plot hole, and I have chosen to ignore it.
A hand landed on his window sill and Billy cursed at himself for flinching. Hopper peered down at him, giving Billy and the car a once-over, an eyebrow raising at the smell of alcohol. “You know how fast you were going son?”
Billy’s done this dance before, knows the question is hypothetical and that there’s nothing he can say to convince the cop otherwise. So he smirked, the corners of his mouth pulling at the bruise on his jaw. “Real damn fast I hope.”

The training room was quiet except for the low murmur of Cassie and Sloane discussing a profile, their voices blending softly with the faint rustling of papers shuffled across the worn table. Lia lounged back on the couch, one leg tucked under her, eyes flicking occasionally to her phone, but mostly just watching the others out of the corner of her eye. Dean stood near the door.
Michael sat apart from the group, legs stretched out in front of him, flicking through a stack of photographs. He kept shifting his arms, crossing them, the gesture subtle but persistent, as if trying to shield something fragile beneath his skin. None of them said anything, Michael had always retreated like this before, and the others knew it was better to give him space than pry.
It just happened to be the wrong thing at the wrong moment that set him off.

Susan and Neil are dead. Billy is 20 at the start and Max is 15. Story covers their lives (eventual Harringrove but more about relationship than sex) over a period of several years, if you read all of it...but if you don't, I understand. :p
The original story is contained in Chapters 2 - 10. Those have more of the original cast, and involve monster hunting, etc.. (Chapter 2 was posted first as a stand alone, which is why it's so long.)
After that there are requests, prompts, etc and just things I wrote because I got an idea.
IF you want to read this giant meandering thing in chronological order, refer to chapter 1 -- and then save Drabbles and Summer nights for after, if you are still wanting more.

Summary
All Hopper wanted to do was go home and relax, but he got a noise complaint about a car blasting music at the quarry. So instead of going home, he finds himself at the quarry with an extremely drunk Billy Hargrove. A drunk Billy Hargrove who just happens to have bruises and welts covering his back.
Or, Billy talks a lot when he's drunk and doesn't realize that Hopper and Joyce basically made him confess that he gets abused at home or that he ended up at the Chief of Police's house where is his given a safe place to sleep for the night and possibly a place to stay for longer.
Or, Billy gets invited to his first sleepover at Hop's cabin with Jim and Joyce and is overjoyed. They will show him what true love looks like and decide that he is never going back to Cherry Lane again.

“About what?” she challenges, mostly in a last ditch attempt to save face, but her pretend denial makes Hargrove’s expression darken. She wonders for a moment if he’d been trying to extend an olive branch, then decides that’s probably not something Billy Hargrove knows how to do.
Still…
“Why?” The moment the word’s out of her mouth she’s regretting it. Who cares why? He wasn’t going to out her to the entire town and she certainly doesn’t need a reason to appreciate that.
“I get it,” he replies simply.

Summary
October 1984, the Hargroves pull onto Cherry Lane, a quaint little street in a quaint little town of Hawkins, Indiana. Their house already set up; Neil Hargrove set it all up before they left California. They drove into town with two cars; a burgundy Cutlass, and a blue Camaro. Both filled with everything they needed.
Chief Hopper didn’t notice the Hargroves move in, didn’t notice their first days or even Billy’s first parties. He was busy with El and when he wasn’t taking care of her or at work, he was worrying about Will Byers; going with him the lab to get checked out, to make sure he really was okay.

Summary
This story is basically Billy’s perspective on his life in Hawkins and a little before that. I do use references from the Stranger Things book Runaway Max and from the show itself. The story starts at the Junkyard scene in season 2, then moves onto season 3 from Billy's POV, kidnapping for season 4, and finally, season 5 from Billy's, Steve's, Robin's, and Nancy's POV. What becomes of his life after that? Read and find out!
In this story, Billy has powers like El does. He also has a few medical episodes in a few chapters.
This is a warning for people who are squeamish about descriptive violence in later chapters. If you don’t like, there will be places you can skip to.
Seasons 2-5 used. This is my hot take. I don't put spoiler warnings on anything I write, purely because I don't care enough to. If you're consuming media when you haven't finished a show, that's honestly on you for spoiling for yourself. That being said, cheers and enjoy.

He’s only known her for about 2 hours now and he’s mostly certain the woman is just a typical mother. He was kind of looking forward to the drugged out mad-woman everyone painted her to be. Would have made the evening a whole lot more interesting.
