This is a character-focused and wolfpack-focused fic that leans into the psychological horror potential of Twilight. It is an angsty, agonizing slowburn. The Cullens are not cast in a good light. The back-alley legend, the one whose name is still whispered in the underworld with a mix of awe and fear. The one the Jedi couldn’t tame, could only point in a direction and pray. The Jedi taught him graceful lightsaber forms, but Watto’s yard taught him how to win a fight, when you’ve only got a rusted blade and a broken hand. You think Anakin doesn’t know how to grab someone by the jaw and bite? Please. He fights like he needs to win. Because he does NEED to.
