Summary
In the days Sunday has spent in his company, he has shown neither proper terror nor reverence. No supplications. No trembling awe. Instead, he has dared to touch one of the Gentry, to press a damp washcloth to his fevered skin, to dress his wounds with earthy poultices, and to sit— uninvited, unshaken—by his bedside, quietly reading a book as if tending to a wounded hare.
The nerve of him.
A fae, a baron, and a crumbling old manor.

Summary
Anxiety punched up his chest like the traitor that it was. Sunday didn’t need any reminding that this move was risky, drawing attention he neither needed nor wanted. He wasn’t even sure why the Trailblazers had agreed to such an impromptu transfer mid-season. Either they hadn’t thought it through, or they were desperate.
Sunday could relate.

Summary
There’s a space between now and tomorrow that Sunday wishes would stretch. Maybe by then, he’d have mustered enough courage to say what needed to be said. But for now, he just shifts uncomfortably in his seat, fear and this new swell of affection threatening to suffocate him.
Welt—for all of his profound wisdom—simply smiles from his seat, oblivious.
In which Sunday tries to navigate his feelings and Welt Yang.

Summary
Sunday didn’t quite know what possessed him to move to Bumfuck Valley, two thousand miles from the glitz and glamour of his hometown. One day, he simply woke up from an alprazolam-induced stupor—dazed, dry-mouthed, and feeling like a half-baked sleeper agent suddenly activated—and thought: fuckit. I need to get out of this house.
So he did.

Summary
Perhaps, he does care, cares so much he bleeds until there is none of him left. Perhaps, Sunday has been forged for it; to do nothing but care and feel and carry it, until he forgets where he ends and the world begins. Perhaps, there was an error in his assemblage, a sort of incorrigible flaw, and that is why the very thing he was created for - to carry the world on his shoulders towards a better future - is the one thing he failed so spectacularly at. It's a pervasive thought, that maybe to some degree he is incomplete. Though that matters not because the things he'd done were all on his own volition.
At the very least, the pain of being the sole woken being in the universe served a purpose. Now, Sunday just aches, and it's just as pointless as if he didn't.
Or, Sunday struggles with his place on Astral Express.

Summary
Over 2000 years ago, Morax has little to no interactions with the Anemo Archon. Decarabian locks himself in his tower, believing falsely that his prison kept his people safe. Morax was never able—nor particularly inclined to—tell him otherwise.
So he was not surprised when Decarabian’s own people overthrew him. What he was surprised at though, was the new Anemo Archon that replaced him.
Or: Zhongli and Venti, throughout the ages.
