“Who’s Tammy?” Mike’s words echoed through the small room.
“What?” Will gave a hollow laugh and looked to his left, where Mike was staring at the floor.
“Back there, you said something about your crush being your ‘Tammy’, who is she?” Mike was completely serious. He wanted to know, and it made Will’s heart skip every beat that was meant to ring through his body, pump his blood to his vessels, give his lungs the means to fucking breathe. What a loaded question.

“Wait,” Will said in a harsh, croaky voice. He felt like his brain was dribbling out of his ears and he fell onto the couch with a small poof of air as he stared at Mike in such a hard daze that it was a wonder he didn’t pass out again. “I - what do you - “
They stared at each other.
The air was thick and suddenly it was like Will could taste ozone at the back of his tongue, like electricity was coating his mouth and didn’t leave any room to breathe, to think, and his voice was wobbly, uncertain, as he said, “what do you mean… other boys?”

“And I, uh, I had this… crush on someone,” Mike lifts his head up, and he looks at Will, and Will is looking at him, and that fragile thing in Mike’s chest shatters into a million tiny shards when he realises what that means. Will continues hiccuping out a laugh in between his sobs, “Even though I know, I know they’re not like me. But-but then I realised, it was… it was never about whether he liked me or not, it was-it was about me… It was about me- and I thought I was finally okay with myself, but… but then today…”
That’s enough. In fact, that’s more than enough. Mike stands, and he doesn’t care that there’s people looking at him, and he falls to his knees in front of Will, wrapping him in a hug. Mike feels Will stiffen in his arms, and he whispers into the crook of Will’s neck through his own tears, “I’m sorry, Will. I’m so fucking sorry. I’ve been such a dick, and all those things I said, I never should’ve said them.”

Arthur, meanwhile, is definitely supposed to be taking over his father's company some day, but instead spends most of his time scowling at Merlin, making lists about him, trying to find excuses to fire him and, most of all, trying to pretend he is totally not head-over-heels for the jumped up little upstart. Someone's got to make some difficult choices eventually, and this can only lead to one thing: angst. Or hilarity. Or, embarrassingly enough, self-discovery.
