Chapter Text
Steve was sitting alone at a table, watching the other people around him conversing with eachother. He didn't mind being alone, no, it's just the silence that ticks him off.
Suddenly he felt pressure on his shoulder. "Hey, Harrington!" He whipped his head around to see Tommy Hagan and Carol Perkins standing over him. "Say, you aren't gonna eat all your lunch are ya?"
"I was.. but–"
"Great!" Carol grinned, grabbing the apple off his tray and taking a bite out of it. "Thank you so much, Steven! You're really helping out the community by offering your food to the actually hungry."
Tommy picked up his sandwich and shook it in front of Steve. "Do you really need this? I mean come on, Steven, it'll make you fatter than you already are."
Carol giggled before taking Tommy's arm and walking off–leaving Steve alone.
He doesn't understand. He isn't fat, is he?
He doesn't think he is.
He thought he was skinny.
Infact he was told that he was underweight.
Was his doctor lying to him?
Liar.
Such a liar.
Before he could spiral any further, he saw two figures sit down on his sides.
"Hey, did they just take your food?" The voice sounded feminine–well as feminine as a 3rd grader's voice can get.
All Steve could do is nod, expecting them to do the same. To his suprise, they didn't.
The person two his right placed a hand on his shoulder before speaking. "That's not cool man, did you tell them they could?"
He shook his head.
The voice on the left spoke. "Do you want some of my lunch? I'm not really hungry anyways."
"Uh no.. I'm good.." was all Steve could get out.
There was a small laugh coming fron the right. "Ah, he speaks!"
"Of course he does, weirdo."
"Well we'd never know."
Steve smiled a little, before realizing he never really looked at the two next to him. So, he looked to his left first:
It was a girl, yeah. She had short brownish-blonde hair, and blue eyes that complimented her freckles. She was wearing a blue and gray striped shirt as well as a necklace with a pink flower on it. She was also wearing denim blue shorts and a pair of high top sneakers.
He then turned to his right:
This time, it was a boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes as well. He had on a black wifebeater and a chain necklace on–well, it wasn't an ACTUAL chain but you get the idea. He was wearing blue converse and a pair of black jeans.
"I just realized we never introduced ourselves, have we?" the girl spoke. "Well I'm Robin Buckley, and that's weirdo."
"Do not start calling me that, that's not my name." Well thanks for the clarification, Steve thought. "My name's Billy. Billy Hargrove."
"Nice to meet you.."
Robin put her head on the table to look at Steve's face, scooting closer as well. "What's your name?"
"I'm uh, Steve Harrington."
"Well, Steve, it's nice to meet you too." Before they even knew it, the bell had rang as a signal for them to get back to class.
"Looks like we'll have to talk next time. Later Stevie-boy!" Robin stood up, taking her tray and walking off.
"What she said. Seeya." Billy did the same.
"Yeah.. seeya." And that left Steve to himself before he got up and went to class.
