But you talk about this as if I hold any power within the Order, which I really don’t. Let’s just hope that what you bring to table is enough.”

Remus planned to tell Severus that they will be having a miraculous baby together, but before he can gather courage and tell him, Severus sprung a surprise of his own on him.
After Severus unexpectedly outed Remus in front of a big crowd of people during an alumni party, things change drastically for the worse. On the same night he learned the Marauders had used him, that they thought he was a double agent ingratiated in their midst to spy for the other side. After he left the party, too aggrieved to think straight he went to see his godmother for advice. When they went to fetch Remus' parents, cruel fate dealt him another blow.
Remus didn't expect was to find his childhood home up in flames, with his parents trapped inside and he knew they came too late to save them.
Devastated by that final blow, Remus knew he had to leave Great Britain. All tethers holding him chained to this life he steadily built for himself were severed. Nursing a broken heart, Remus and his godmother Poppy fled from British soil behind, in hopes of finding a safe sanctuary for a fresh start. -

It was odd for Lupin to bring up horcruxes in specific, why not another one of the many pieces of magic in the book.Canon divergent set in 1977-1979 following Remus and Regulus in the early days of the war. Remus is sent to investigate the werewolves starting in sixth year rather than seventh and Regulus ends up taking the dark-mark early after hearing something particularly interesting from Slughorn. With the changes and challenges these two events lead to, the pair ends up working together to discover the inner workings of Voldemort's plans and form an odd partnership in hopes to thwart it.
