Tommy was never one to call himself overconfident. But he might be tempted to in his current situation. After his easy victory yesterday, he could admit he was a bit too hopeful.
He’d managed to sneak into one of the nicest areas of the city. One of the areas the police usually kick him out of and all the people look at him like he’s personally offended them just for existing.
This was the kind of area Tommy didn’t usually try stealing in. The people here might be more aloof, but they didn’t have a reason to pay attention when pretty much all of the law enforcement were constantly at their beck and call. As soon as they noticed something was gone, it was game over for whoever stole from them.
It was stupid for Tommy to be here. It was even stupider for him to even consider stealing from any of these fuckers.
But he was going to do it anyway. Just one successful pickpocket here could keep him fed for months.

Phil had had a certain image in his head when the police had knocked on his door informing him that a shapeshifter had been caught living as a dog in the local park and that said shapeshifter had recently used Phil's 14-year-old son's visage for purposes unknown. Yet, upon going to confront this shapeshift, instead of what he'd expected, he found a terrified 7-year-old racoon hybrid. When Phil was told they were struggling to find someone to foster him after all of the stunts he'd pulled, there was really only one thing Phil could do.
Tommy is not particularly enthused to be fostered by the man whose son's face he'd stolen. Foster families were bad enough without already having a reason to hate him and without a lock on his powers. There was no kind reason Phil would want him in his custody. He just needs to figure out what type of bad it will be.
(Yes, I'm writing a story with the same basic premise once again. Yes, I am doing so in a genre that is oversaturated on this site. No, I will not apologize.)

Tubbo let out a sigh. He brought his hand up, probably to massage the bridge of his nose based on the way he’d bent his head forward slightly. He did that a lot, and it always made him look so much older. “You know why I’m here” he muttered. “You’re making everything so difficult when all I want to do is help you” he lied. There was no way that was his intention. If he truly had wanted to help Tommy out, he could have laughed in Dream’s face when he brought up the idea of putting him on trial for something no one else had ever been punished for, like he should have. But he didn’t do that. He didn’t even consider it.
Tommy knew that he wasn’t a saint. To think so would have been as delusional as Wilbur calling himself the villain of the Dream SMP. He was a little shit, often on purpose. He liked being obnoxiously loud. He liked making it impossible for those around him to miss his presence. Theft was one of his main hobbies, right along with swearing and doing drugs. But, even acknowledging all of that, he knew that he was being treated unfairly.
They all knew that.
Most people simply didn’t care.

Swallowing nervously, Ranboo glanced down at himself. Immediately, he felt sick, seeing smudges of blood all over his arms and small trickles of red running down his legs. They hurt, almost with the intensity of a raging fire.
He didn’t know what to do. This wasn’t the worst case he’d ever had of being injured by water overall, but it was definitely the worst one he’d ever had while stranded beside the road, a good distance from his house.
Just as Ranboo began to panic, he heard footsteps coming down the road to his left. He sharply turned his head towards the noise and found himself meeting eyes with Tommy.
“Ranboo?!” Tommy exclaimed, looking shocked as he took in Ranboo’s terrified, bloody form. “What the fuck?! Are you okay?”
“I-I don’t know.” Ranboo stammered, struggling to meet his friend’s eyes.

Ranboo, an enderman hybrid who can be hurt by water, gets caught outside in the rain.
When the rain stops, Ranboo’s friend Tommy finds him and helps him heal from his injuries.
