There seemed to be no limit on how oblivious Mike could be.
“So what? You wanted some random man to take you home? When you were obviously drunk? He wasn’t trying to be your friend. He was flirting with you, Mike! He was a man!” Will was practically shouting now. He couldn’t understand Mike's recklessness. The confusion spiked his worry into genuine rage.
Mike’s eyes flicked up at him, fire sparking. “So what? You kissed a man!”
Will threw his hands up. “I’m gay, Mike! I’m GAY! Of course, I kissed a man.” His chest heaved, frustration coiling like a spring.
Mike didn’t need to look Will in the eyes to know he made a mistake.
There was no way to talk himself out of this one.
TLDR:
The gang has already defeated Vecna, and Mike and El have broken up.
The story picks up at College in California.
Will is trying to embrace his identity and move on from his crush on Mike.
Mike is not making it easy.
