The creation of Halfas was due to the introduction of ectoplasm to a living host in very specific conditions, creating the perfect half alive, half dead specimen. Any other conditions would have resulted in the death of the living. However, what if the blood of the living was introduced to a specimen that was already dead? As it turns out, the results are even worse.
Danny is already sick of the Guys in White, and them starting the zombie apocalypse has only made him hate them even more.

Danny just wanted to fight ghosts and live a normal, teenage life. But on vacation, he runs into Sam and Dean and they develop a bad habit of summoning him across the country whenever they run into a ghost. Weirdly, the ghosts are popping up all over the states and something strange is happening in the Ghost Zone. They think another ghost might be behind all the sudden appearances. During all of this, Danny's parents are slowly crossing the line between strict and abusive. Vlad is doing his very best to help Danny and make up for the things he did in the past, but he hasn't quite gotten Danny's trust yet.

He uses this on Danny after he learns about Phantom to trick him into trusting him, slowly making situations in reality resemble his dreams. But, after a while of this and finally succeeding in his goal, Vlad realizes that he's conditioned himself into genuinely loving Danny as a son. Complicated relationships and shenanigans ensue.
