Summary
Some stories tell of legendary beasts. Humans that are so in sync with their inner beast, that they are able to completely turn themselves into the predator. A few times there were rumors of these creatures, but they mostly died down again, never being heard about on actual news. Whispers say they were taken in by the government and either used for military purposes or experiments. Noone knew the truth behind it, except those who /knew/.

The first thing he saw was darkness. He opened his eyes, but nothing changed. A moment later it was cold. Frost creeping up his limbs and causing him to shiver. He tried to move, but it was hard. He struggled and pushed until he finally got his hands a little free.

Felix stares and he doesn't even notice when the music stops and Hyunjin is suddenly in front of him, giving him a hug. Minho avoided eye contact as much as possible as he took in the small form, hurdled in the dark far corner. He was heaving from exhaustion, blonde hair disheveled and sticking to his face. Oversized clothes stuck to shaking limbs, drenched in sweat. Just like the other man, the omega was barefooted. Minho sighed, this one was in far worse condition. “I’m not here to hurt you either,” he mumbled, trying to ease the tension a bit and closing his eyes to smell deeply. The omega hissed again, but without much of a fight to it, too tired now. Minho’s brow furrowed and when he opened his eyes he briefly met two bright blue ones gleaming back. “Fuck, you’re in heat,” he blurted out as he took in all the now obvious signs.

Summary
Felix wished he would have paid closer attention to the sirens - would have looked out the window a lot sooner than he did. Maybe if he had, things would have turned out differently for him. Maybe he would have been able to save more people, or would have been able to escape the apartment altogether.
But he didn't. He stayed and suffered and almost paid the ultimate price.
But it was because stayed that they eventually found him. It was because he stayed that he could finally heal.
