“I’m dead serious. I want to say I’ll be accepting, but the truth is, I can't watch you be in love with someone else and pretend like everything’s okay.”
His words hit Will hard enough that he had to brace himself against the railing. It felt like they were having two separate conversations, and he couldn’t keep up with either one.
Mike took a deep, fortifying breath. “The truth is, I just want you, Will.”
“But… I don’t…”
“I know. I know you don’t. I know there’s someone else, back in Lenora. Believe me, it’d be easier if I didn’t feel this way, but I can’t help it.”
“Mike, what the hell are you even… you love El.”
Mike blinked. “Of course I love El. I’ll always love her. That doesn’t just disappear. But we broke up. For real. And what we had was… it was kid stuff. First love. Easy. Safe.”
Will’s breath felt trapped in his lungs.
“When I think about you,” Mike said quietly, “it hurts. In this way that doesn’t feel safe at all. And that’s how I know it’s real.”Or, Rockin' Robin intervenes and forces the boys to finally talk about their feelings.

Prompt 3 - a female Buck AU, not linked to the last AU!
In which Hen has opinions on Buck, as she does in cannon -- mostly influenced by Chimney and his jealousy.
However, a seemingly innocent conversation started with Eddie about Chris coming for a sleepover blows Hen's mind with new facts about the woman. And the hits just keep on coming as another firefighter of the 118 reveals that this is not new information to anyone else, and that there is a lot more where that came from.
Could Hen have misjudged this seemingly care-free, wild girl from the start?
Set season 2-ish, where Eddie has started and is friends with Buck - something else Hen doesn't quite realise - but Maddie hasn't turned up yet.
Because season 1 Buck could talk a lot and reveal very little about himself, so season 2 Buck was dropping bombshells even acknowledging he had any family.Series

Maddie contemplates her life, and finds out what her little sister - who she has had no contact with in far more years than she realised - does these days when her co-worker shares a clip of her that’s gone viral. She starts plotting her escape from Doug.
Meanwhile, a year later events align so that Hen does meet Buck in the park the next day - along with Eddie, Tommy, and little Bug. But their adult night did not go as planned, because Buck is on the phone with the police about a break-in at her place.

It had been a week and Jim was still haunted by the scene of the fire truck bombing. He had nightmares where the screams of that trapped firefighter echoed in his head, where his heart physically ached when no one had been able to step forward and help him. He'd only been able to listen and watch, and he hated it. Jim had tried to get passed it, tried to handle it like he would any other tough case, but it wouldn't leave his mind.
The only thing left to try was to go to the hospital and see for himself that Evan Buckley was safe and sound.
