Finney Blake and Robin Arellano were a duo. When you saw Robin, you knew Finney was close behind, when you saw Finney, you knew Robin was only a few paces in front of him. They had been inseparable since they found out they were soulmates when they accidentally bumped into each other when they were five years old. Women cooed whenever they were spotted together, with Finney's hand firmly clasped with Robin's or Robin pressing sweet kisses to Finney's forehead (curse him for being so tall) with a mutter of "Estrella bonita." It was a shock when one day Robin was without Finney, tears threatening to break free from the prison of his eyes as he searches all over town with a piece of paper clutched in his hand. 'Missing Child.'
Or, Finney is kidnapped first, years before the other boys meet Robin.

“I missed you.” Robin mutters, and Finney almost feels like he gets closer. Finney doesn’t know why, but he lays his head on Robin’s shoulder. It just feels so natural. Robin doesn’t stop him, or push him away in disgust. Not like Finney had always feared he would. He instead wraps his arm around Finney, pulling him closer.
“We talked yesterday.” Finney responds, closing his eyes and embracing the feeling of Robin’s arm around him. He isn’t sure if, in this scenario in his brain, that information is totally correct. But it feels right.
Robin sighs, and Finney feels him nod. So it must be right. Maybe all these scenarios connect to each other, to create one giant story. That’d make sense. Finney sort of hopes they do. It makes it feel a lot more real.
“You’re right, we did. But I still missed you.” Finney doesn’t know why, but when Robin says that, he picks his head up to look at Robin again. He wants to kiss him. He needs to. All this time, all these scenarios, and it still hasn’t happened. Finney’s lips ache with the want to be on Robin’s. He knows it’s wrong, or at least that’s what his dad says. But he’s wanted this for so long. Surely he won’t go to hell for one kiss?
