I am oak and iron, varnish and salt. I am the vessel.

This is the story of One Piece—but you will not hear Luffy's laughter
or Zoro's swords. You will hear the groan of a keel under impossible
strain. The whisper of wood splitting in a storm. The silent scream
of a ship that loves her crew but cannot speak.

From birth in a quiet village to a funeral on the open sea,
this is Going Merry's testimony. Told in the language of physics,
    carpentry, and breaking.

[Experimental POV | Literary style | Canon compliant |
Inspired by Tolstoy's "Kholstomer" and Hemingway's iceberg theory]

"Consciousness arrived not as light, but as rhythm."

I’ll post here my own theories and more. Anime-only refrain from reading this, the amount of spoilers might be lethal.

The Great Gatsby is, and always will be, my favorite book of all time.

In order to satisfy my deep love of it I will be writing about my opinions of the book.
Characters, themes, small details, the author, etc.

Like a youtube video essay in writing form.

If you also love this book, feel free to suggest things I should talk about!
Ask about things you don’t understand.
Or give me your own opinions and I will happily talk about it as a chapter.

I am in no way a professional, I am just an intense fan.

    Summary

She reads a familiar scrawl, “Adam to God after he’s spoken with Satan. Before you really read Frankenstein, you have to decide who you think is at fault in Paradise Lost, Satan or God?”

Rory closes the book after reading the messy scrawl from the boy that broke her heart.

She’s never described herself as an angry person before, but she can feel a ball of rage in her core, threatening to escape. She shoves the book back into her bag, along with that feeling of white hot anger. Because she’s done. She meant what she said. She is not going to pine.

Rory leans her head against the window.

Unbelievable, she had purposefully only brought books that she knew he didn’t get his hands on. His dirty, grubby, nicotine and pen stained, lovely hands, that knew just the right way to touch her–

Of course he would still find a way to surprise her, even as she’s running away as far as she can from him. No matter if he did it first. She needs to run.

//or Rory re-reads her books through pivotal moments in the Gilmore Girls canon only to find her ex-boyfriend’s annotations are waiting for her.

When Harry joined Hogwarts — nobody calls it Hogsmeade Boys College — in his final year of school, he wasn't quite sure what he expected. Maybe not this. Certainly not being hated with a vengeance by Tom Riddle.

Insanity galore, Harry tries to muddle his way through socialism, teenage drama and Roland Barthes, in the knowledge that he'll definitely come out alive at the end of it... right?

    Summary

I never asked to be here, but here I am — moving, breathing, living a life that I don’t believe in. You may have seen me before; on the street or at work or just passing and out of habit, I’m usually smiling when it’s expected, nodding when it’s required. But I am empty. A machine running on ritual that replicates actions I’ve never owned.

You should know this: the world you cling to, the comforts you hold close as parchment, the faith you swear by are the trappings of performance. Suffering made flesh called humanity, and life itself — the cruelest joke of all — is to be born is to be condemned.

I will tell you what I remember; still, it doesn’t matter. My days, my thoughts, my failures welcome the spiral here, to the edge. Maybe to you it looks like there is something else, meaning hidden in the lines, a return to the edge; I can assure you, there isn’t.

By the end, perhaps you will see what I see: that existence is only optional in theory, awareness is a burden, that no smile no solace could save me from the knotted wisp of truth in a still, quiet mind. I’m talking to you from that edge; if you listen close enough, can you hear the silence that follows?

I've taken it upon myself to write my own essay about werewolf categorizations and types. Having seen other takes, I had to do my own. If any of you see anything useful for it, like, say, if you're an independent filmmaker presenting it to a studio as a justification of why a certain movie mentioned in one of the later paragraphs absolutely has to be made, being a pivotal step in human evolution, feel free to do so.

    Summary

    Summary

In an abandoned symposium, five icons of art and theory form a ritual performance polycule that careens between bloodletting, cyborg kinship, pop spectacle, spectral hauntology, and gender subversion. Marina Abramović bleeds for intimacy, Donna Haraway weaves multispecies kinships, Andy Warhol commodifies it all, Jacques Derrida summons ghosts of différance, and Judith Butler disrupts normativity with every breath. Together they clash, seduce, and entangle in a techno-yuri ritual of desire, satire, and insurrection.

A tongue-in-the-other-cheek séance of art theory, queer longing, and avant-garde melodrama.
