Rose has her mouth open when he looks over at her. “You literally talked to the team captain and you didn’t even know? Shane that was Ilya Rozanov.”
Shane feels like he can’t breathe for a second at the sound of his name.

Mike shook his head and stuttered once again before speaking, “I- I’m saying… What if this guy doesn’t want to be your Tammy? What if he’s just been so… so lost inside of his own head that he hasn’t worked up the courage to say what he’s really feeling?” Mike finished, shaking slightly as the words left his mouth. This was the most honest he had ever been with Will before, and the vulnerability of that terrified him.
All Will could do was just stare at him with an awestruck expression. He wasn’t sure what to say or what to do, and he definitely didn’t want to misinterpret what Mike was saying. Will had a history of misreading Mike’s signals, and he certainly did not want to do that again.

“You’re not.” Mike replied.

His brain went offline for a minute. Chris burned the eggs, everyone is okay, no one is hurt. They are laughing. The eggs were burned and no one is being yelled at, no blame is being placed. They are full of joy.

Mike walks up next to him, already grabbing the water bottle from his backpack. "Water?"
Will nods. "Yeah. Thanks."
Mike takes the lid off and drinks some before passing it to Will. He watches the careful way Will reaches for the top so their fingers won't brush even though that's a bad grip and there's a chance the bottle falls several stories onto the ground.
He keeps watching as Will takes a sip. Is there something more in the way he watches Will? Mike never really let himself consider it.
