Felix should’ve known from the beginning that Hwang Hyunjin would be the death of him. It was minuscule attraction, an insignificant crush that really shouldn’t have meant anything at all. Sure, it festered in the bottom of his gut, caused his heart to race and the back of his throat to itch, but it didn’t mean anything.
Hyunjin is kind to him, sure, but only because he has to be. For better or for worse, they’re not friends and they have no reason to talk all that often. Hyunjin has a boyfriend, is Felix's older brother’s bestfriend, is beloved by seemingly everyone he meets. Hyunjin has a million things going for him and doesn’t need Felix tagging like a lost dog.
Yet, a red rose embeds itself inside of Felix's lungs, forcing him to confront the fact that everything he feels for Hyunjin is far worse than mild attraction.

Idk why I put this under my private bookmarks. This is literally my second favorite stray kids fic. I read this is the dead of day when depression hits hard and nothing else can make me happy. This is the comfort fic that I do not deserve and I thank the author everyday instead of praying to God that this fan fic exists and found its way to me.

Minho felt heat slam up the back of his neck. His heart was beating like it had slipped into survival mode, every nerve bracing for impact. He clung to the counter with both hands, knuckles bone-white. “Minji,” he said, carefully - so carefully it hurt. “I need you to be completely honest with me right now.” His voice trembled like a bridge under pressure. “Did you go to the party across the street last night?”
The words burned on the way out. Not just because he didn’t want to know, but because he hated the person they belonged to. The tone. The suspicion. The way it sounded like something he’d heard growing up - cold and hollow and waiting for failure.
But this wasn’t about his father. This was about Jisung. Jisung, who encouraged recklessness like it was enlightenment. Jisung, whose porch was a revolving door of mistakes waiting to happen. Jisung, who was loud and smug and infuriating and - if she said yes -

He’s adapted to sleeping during the day, though probably not as much as he needs. He’s hungry a lot, despite the bounty of food—Seungmin says that having blood drained takes a lot of a human’s energy, so he’s probably quite a bit thinner than he ought to be.
“We could… get another human?” Hyunjin spitballs, though he says it uncertainly.

Minho blinks, pensive but also going foggy from Chan’s affections. “Put out an ad?” he suggests.
