When he inevitably fell short, when he wasn’t enough, it only deepened the sense of failure that haunted him. The pressure weighed on him and the pain that came with it, until it became too much to bear. It took endless pain, countless moments of doubt, and the support of those who refused to give up on him to finally understand: that maybe, just maybe, he could be loved for who he was, imperfections and all.

Summary
Tommy is a tired college student who just wants to go unnoticed. He works nights and fills the long hours at night with homework to avoid sleep. He's absolutely fine. He'd be better if villain and heroes would mind their business and leave him alone and shut up about this favor owing bs.
He doesn't need anything in return to be a decent human being. He doesn't need your favors anyways.
Aka: a villain and hero au where I fell in love with the completely civilian concept of Tommy from Neutral Grounds and wanted to explore the idea of Tommy hating people owing him favors from Hush Now (You Were Lost But Now You're Found).

Summary
Watcher is a low-ranking villain just trying to make a name for himself, until he gets into a fight with the notorious hero HotGuy, catapulting his career overnight. Working with the Resistance, he becomes the number 2 villain, second only to the GOAT. HotGuy wants to catch this villain who came from nowhere and find out what's really going on with him. Then the Resistance stages an all-out war on the Hermit Hero Force, and everything goes wrong. An old villain, Killsalot, comes out of the woodwork to stake his claim. And HotGuy goes rogue to find out where his fellow missing hero has gone.
Meanwhile, Grian is in a relationship with Mumbo and Scar. And the three of them are struggling to make things work. Mumbo and Grian want to tell Scar that they're secretly villains, until Scar tells them he's the hero HotGuy. Grian and Mumbo are forced to hide their secrets as they struggle to keep their relationship alive and well despite the war brewing between the Resistance and the Hermit Hero Force.

If anyone asked Grian had no problem with the piercing shop that opened right opposite his tattoo parlour. He didn't even mind sharing his clients. It wasn't his business what kinds of metal studs spikes and other decorations they came by with. No. His problem was Xisuma. The owner of said shop. He was... just something about him annoyed Grian to no end.

“Be my apprentice,” Icarus blurted.
Tommy blinked. Gradually, the corners of his mouth dropped into the deepest frown he’d ever made. “What the fuck? Why?”
“Why?” Icarus froze and Tommy raised a judgemental eyebrow. “It’s because of your powers.”
“My powers,” he echoed. “I never told you whether or not I had powers.”
“I can… sense them,” Icarus bullshitted. Tommy pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Right. What are they, then,” he retorted.
“Uh… super… powers,” the villain answered, sounding more unsure of himself by the second.
Tommy wanted to bash his head against a wall. “Really? That’s the best you could do?”

Tommy isn’t sure why handing someone their keys is such a big deal, but now he’s left with a huge problem: Every supervillain in the city wants him to be their apprentice!

Summary
“Uh— Phil?” The man calls over his shoulder, golden eyes never leaving Tommy’s face, “I need your help over here.”
Tommy bares his teeth, wings fluttering threateningly. He doesn’t want the man to get help, he wants him to go away.
Another man steps into view. This one is short and blonde, with wings a hundred times bigger than Tommy’s, and he’s dressed just as nice as the first man. He hasn’t seen Tommy yet; he’s looking at the big pink one. Mouth open like he’s going to speak.
Tommy hisses again, louder this time. And the man's head snaps towards him— which doesn’t scare Tommy. He doesn’t shrink back, doesn’t try to tuck away his wings with a whine. Because he’s big. He’s big and scary; nothing is scarier than him and he knows it, because he says it.
“Oh,” The man says softly, expression falling at his eyes dart across Tommy’s face. “Oh, mate.”

Tommy is a small little gooseboy who gets picked up by some bewildered ambassadors and their son. Shenanigans ensue.

Summary
The stupidest thing, really, was that Tommy couldn't even really stop himself from doing this. It had been weeks now, barely getting by, scraping rock bottom as he lived through every day feeling like his heart had been pulled from his chest.
He was just so lonely, a physical ache in his chest and desperately muffled chirps in his throat. It was more than just a want - whether he wanted to or not, he needed his flock - so now, here he was. Chasing villains through the city night after night, without so much as a plan for when it inevitably would go wrong.

Summary
As always, Tommy made sure to wear thick sweaters and heavy overalls, covering every spare inch of skin with fabric. For the most part, it worked. No one knew he was a pufferfish hybrid. They just thought he was a loud, boisterous kid who didn’t like being touched. They didn't even notice the tiny spines on his face, now that puberty and stress had mercifully covered his cheeks in acne.
One morning, Tubbo tried to grab Tommy’s hand. The ram hybrid ended up heaving over a bucket for the next few hours. There was no fresh milk in Pogtopia, so there was nothing they could do but wait for the nausea to pass.
It was the last time Tommy let anyone get close enough to make that mistake.
Or: Tommy, a pufferfish hybrid, hasn't properly touched anyone in years. Techno is beginning to realize this.

Tommy’s eyes are saucers: two spiral galaxies brimming with infinite wonder and light.
“For real?” he asks, as suspicious as he is breathless with wonder.
“For real,” Techno echoes dryly back, grinning faintly as he stands. “I’ll come up with a way for you to return the favor.”

Don't even get him started on the whole syndicate thing. That's not important. Right now he's Thomas Underscore an assistant at the hero tower who just wants to pay his bills
TLDR: Tommy and Techno are vigilantes while Phil and Wilbur are heroes. Theres also the syndicate, Tubbo, and Ranboo shenanigans insue
