Summary
"Mike runs his tongue over the bottom of Will’s lips, and they’re forced to pull apart, but only because one of the lights above them literally explodes. They both take a step back, breathing heavy. Will’s face is wet, and he instinctively goes to wipe his eyes, only to realize that they aren’t his tears, they’re Mike’s.
“I hate when you yell at me.” Mike says, and he sounds so broken that Will wants to crawl into a hole and never let anyone look at him again. He feels tears prick at the back of his own eyes, and fights to keep them contained. He feels like this isn’t about him, even though he knows it absolutely is,
“I- I’m so sorry.” he replies, and he is. It sounds pathetic, even to him. Mike laughs, but it’s more of a sob."
Or
Mike and Will have a fight after Will comes out. Unresolved feelings ensue.

“It had been about a month since they had defeated Vecna.
It didn’t feel right to say they’d won, even though they technically did. They were all more comfortable with the term ‘defeat’. They’d been trying to get back to some sense or normalcy ever since. It hadn’t been going well, which was stupid, because it was supposed to be great! Will thinks that maybe they all feel a little guilty that they aren’t enjoying winning as much.”
AKA the party wins, and they’re all fine, except for the ways that they really, really aren’t.
Post canon, mild byler, basically just exploring what it’s going to be like after winning and suffering through unimaginable trauma

“It’s been a week and a half since they had driven the mind flayer out of him. He won’t be back to school for a while. His mom and Jonathan have been having a hell of a time finding someone to babysit him while they’re both gone. It’s been very embarrassing, and Jonathan can tell that the lack of privacy has been driving Will crazy.
Will thinks that’s why Jonathan decides to throw him a bone.
He asks if Will would be okay if he took a nap for an hour or two? Will nods enthusiastically. He reiterates that Will can and should come get him for anything he needs. Will agrees.
Jonathan goes in his room and shuts the door.
And then Will makes a series of choices that are incredibly, incredibly dumb. “
Immediately post S2 imagining of what happened after Will was unpossessed and how he felt knowing that Bob was dead.

Vecna grins at this. ‘So, you want to die, then?’
Will doesn’t bother responding. They both know the answer. They both know it will happen. If it’s all he has left, he will at least die without giving Vecna the satisfaction of thinking he wasn’t ready to go.

Will has been acting strange lately. He’s moody and secretive one minute and floating on air the next. He’s making secret phone calls, sneaking out of the house. One day, he even asks Hopper for dating advice.
It’s very strange.
Oh, and the other thing. He just won’t stop talking about Mike Wheeler.
It takes Hopper an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out why.
