Eddie's gravelly morning voice does things to Buck - it's one of Buck's favourites. He squeezes his eyes closed and tries to keep his heart rate under control. Eddie can probably feel his pulse jump from where his arm is laying on his chest.

Smooth Buckley. He definitely didn’t notice your shameless thirsting over literally everything-
Bucks thoughts immediately stall when he feel’s Eddie huff a laugh into his skin and he drags his hand from his shoulder down to his sternum. His palm lies flat against his chest, exactly where you press when you do CPR, exactly where Eddie has pressed before, restarting his heart after 3 minutes and 17 seconds-
Eddies fingers start playing with his chest hair.

“However you, and the rest of the crew continue to disrespect my authority. If I were more than the interim captain, I would be suggesting all of you get a transfer, however-”
“You don’t need to suggest a transfer.” Eddie cuts him off. “I’ll apply for one right now.”
Gerrard looks baffled. “You’ll what? Huh?”
“Let me say this clearly.” Eddie says, copying the same slow pace of speech Gerrard adopted when speaking to him. “I’d. Like. To. Transfer. From. The. LAFD.”
“The LAFD? Where are you going to go?”
“El Paso.”

Helena sobs.

“You haven’t been responsible for Chris in years Mr Diaz. Eddie has been. I have been. I know you see me as just a friend of Eddies, like- like an Uncle to Chris, but that isn’t true.”

“Damn, six months without even a kiss, no wonder Tommy left.” Eddie mutters half under his breath. It causes Buck to snap out of his daze and give him a half-hearted middle finger. He’s still thinking, though, eyebrows scrunched together in that adorable way they used to whenever he tried to help Chris with his elementary school math homework. “What, Buck?”
