Summary
Damn Harvey and his cocky betting. Is what Mike thought as he sat on the edge of his couch, leaning over a pile of files on his coffee table. Damn Harvey and losing a bet because he’s too cocky. Is what Mike thought as he cycled as fast as he could to try to make it to work on time.
-
Harvey loses a bet, Mike is Louis's associate for the duration of two cases, but of course Harvey has a soft spot for his associate and won't work with anyone else. Cue Mike's despair. -

Summary
It was the middle of the night, though maybe it was closer to morning now? He’d been sitting there for a long time.
The floor of his loft was cold, even more so near his giant window. The city below him was rushing around as usual, LA just never stopped. For hours he just sat there, pressed against the glass, staring down at life continuing on without him.
He spared a thought to that for just a moment, he could allow himself this. If he were to just disappear without a trace, nothing but his physical belongings remaining, would anyone grieve? Of course they would, to an extent. They’d mourn the Buck they used to love, the Buck that didn’t destroy everything, their imaginary Buck. Some may even cry over the man they wished he was. But would anyone truly miss him?
-
Or,
I like treating post-lawsuit Buck like my own personal punching bag so here's another fic of him being emotionally ripped to shreds. Yay!
Heed the tags, I don't think there's anything terribly triggering in this but everyone is different so look after yourself. -

Summary
Robert Nash was a worrier by nature. He worried for himself, he worried for his friends in AA, he worried for his team, he worried for that Sergeant Grant who always seemed to turn up at the right time. It came with the job description, he was responsible for a group of adrenaline-junkies willing to throw themselves into danger to save another life.
He worried. A lot.
With Buck? It was different, it extended further than his ability to perform his role or the connections he made in his life, he worried for the kid generally all of the time.
Or:
Bobby doesn't understand why he cares so much for Buck and why it feels so different but so familiar, he begins to understand when he realises how few people Buck has looking out for him, how small his support system is. Especially when he finds out through unfortunate circumstances that he's Buck's emergency contact. -

Summary
Nobody has heard from Buck in four days, which wasn't an issue at first because the power lines were out and they don't exactly expect a cripple to make his way down to the firehouse just to let everyone know he's alive.
Except, power came back today and still, nothing.
-
The Ali and Buck break up was really skimmed over in canon and I just wondered how I could make it as angsty as possible.
-
He's not been kidnapped, I promise. -

Summary
If Buck’s being completely honest with himself, which he’s not, he really should have seen this all coming.
Seven months ago, in the slap bang middle of winter, his loft lost heating. It wasn’t terrible, he spent so much time at Eddie’s or Maddie’s that he barely felt the effects. Maddie on the other hand was totally infuriated at his landlord. Sure, LA didn’t get particularly cold, but he was injured and needed to stay warm.
Six months ago, his water stopped for a whole day because his landlord fucked up trying to do maintenance by himself.
Four months ago, his rent got a hell of a lot more expensive, despite the fact that he was living off of sick pay.
Two months ago, he got kicked out of his loft.
-
Or a post-lawsuit fic where Buck gets kicked out of his loft and feels he has no one to help him because he's upset everyone in his life (P.s. Eventually it turns out he's wrong).

Summary
Mike’s feet feel heavy under him as he drags himself forward and his ears are ringing, but Will is still unmoving on the ground. He pushes closer step by step, the lights still flickering around him. He doesn’t know if Vecna is gone or if he’s lurking just past the portal. Maybe he’s going to find the rest of Mike’s friends. Mike doesn’t know. What he does know is that Will has just passed out.
That he can do something about, at least. Here’s somewhere he can be useful for once.
The immediate aftermath of Will finding his powers in the MAC-Z.

Summary
The ache has multiplied, now, spreading from his chest to his whole body, and he suddenly feels a real urge to cry, for the first time in — years, probably. He wants so desperately to talk to Will that it feels a little bit like he might throw up, but he knows that Will sleeping through the entire night is almost as rare as it is for Mike — less because of his brain betraying him and keeping him up like Mike’s does, but more because of the near-constant nightmares he never talks about — and he looks so peaceful, laying under the softest blanket that Mike could find, that Mike refuses to be that selfish, selfish enough to wake him.
He can — he can stay, though. Maybe watching Will breathe will be enough to make Mike’s insides stop churning, stop doing their damndest to escape through his skin.
christmas eve, 1986. mike just wants to be close to will.

Summary
Mike raised the shovel once more. Blood glistened on the metal of the weapon and on his face where it had splattered, dark eyes glinting with hatred. It was wrong. Mike never looked at him like that.

What if Will tapped into the Demogorgon’s mind just before Mike began his attack?

Summary
“Do you think I’m a bad person?”
Will’s head snaps in Mike’s direction, a look of absolute confusion on his face. “What?”
Mike doesn’t elaborate. He’s too busy listening to the thoughts that are swirling around in his brain. He’s all too familiar with them by now, given how frequently they invade his consciousness. You’re a horrible brother. You’re an even worse friend. No one really likes you; you’ve just tricked everyone into putting up with you. You’re a manipulator like that.
—
Mike opens up to Will about his feelings of self-hatred and jealousy. Will has some words to say about Mike’s treatment by his parents.
