Arthur immediately figured he was a French infantryman of the 22e Regiment d’Infanterie Coloniale, likely under the 7th Army. He also immediately wondered how the bloody hell the French let this wanker become a soldier.

It’s May 22, 1940 during the Battle of France when an assigned Royal Army Medical Corps unit arrives in Normandy, France amidst German Luftwaffe bombings to set up a triage point. Among those unit members is Senior Medic Arthur Kirkland, who crosses paths with an obnoxious French infantryman in the aftermath of a nearby bombing.

But in this life, Albion collapses on a weirwood, his blood spilling into the roots of a heart tree, and with a prayer on his lips. The Old Gods take notice.

Back in the '80s, Feliks was a pissed of 18 year old, who didn't want to be drafted into army, or serve a corrupt regime in any other way but he had no choice. He was sent away to the other side of the country, and had the unfortune to be sent on night patrol duty with an annoying albino.
In our current time, Feliks was a miserable final year student forced to change schools, who also happened to be a fanfiction writer with strange dreams of his past life. He was set on not letting himself to be bullied ever again, so he bravely stood up against Gilbert, his stupid desk mate who tried to pick on him as soon as he arrived.
The chapters will change between the past and present chapters, I hope it's not that confusing. Also, this is not the kind of soulmate au where they have like marks or smtg they just are lol

Gilbert was never really good at telling people how he felt, nor was he good at expressing himself beyond his egotistical persona. In other words, it was rare for people to actually, truly know what he was thinking. He's an intriguing person, indeed. It's hard to understand such a person- one that has lived for centuries, involved in conflicts and the likes. Can such a person, if they can even be called such, be understood?
